P1 Complete Gauntlet

Thanks Cary, I'll order the breadboard, how many of the other bits would you recommend I should get, thanks, Derek

Please let me know who is willing to get the stuff to do this.

Cary :D

im interested im probably going to order it this weekend, but what to you suggest for making a custom gauntlet like with six timers instead of the P1 with 4 timers( i think, cant remember off the top of my head) ;)

but i am also going to be keeping an eye on this thread great stuff

I just got a thing to hook to my old camcorder so I can record vids to my computer. I have a bunch of 4011s and 4017s on the way. I am not sure about the values of the capacitors and resistors. I will experiment so i can tell you guys what to get.

The windows that sequence and go off in succession are a bit more complicated. So we will start with the top cover first.

This is going to take a while because I want you to understand what you are doing.

Cary ;)

I would also suggest buying a spool of solid wire. Your breadboard will come with some but you will be able to make jumpers from the solid wire. Also a pair of small needle nose pliers would be a good idea.

Just bought the same breadboard etc.

Another thing. The breadboard is so you can understand what you are doing. After the circuit is working to our satisfaction then we will build it using a perfboard and kaynar wiring along with silicone. That comes later.

Found this. http://cowlacious.mybigcommerce.com/produc...yes-Deluxe.html

We can purchase this circuit already done for the breathing yellow light. Also use the output for the breathing part of the X. Runs on 9 volts which is perfect. Looks like the output is in series. That means that the circuit will not work unless both LEDs are hooked up at the same time.

Cary ;)

This is the spare i have, prob not what you need, but maybe you could do something with it

Hey Cary,

so got yesterday my breadboard, about 700 wire bridges, 20 X 4011 and 20 X 4017.

LED´s are also ordered so would I also need that Universal Fading Eyes Deluxe board? As if we devenetly would use that than I have to order that overseas.

Greetings Guido

Hi Cary, I'm ordering everything today, the nearest led I can fing in the UK is kingbright L-3831DT, the specifications seem close enough to the one you mentioned, but the height is 9.6 mm, would this cause a problem?Derek

The size of the ones I posted are the ones that will work the best. Guys these are your design. I am just helping you with what to use and build. Up to you how you use it.

AS for the fading circuit we will use it but do not have to get that right now. I will not have my breadboard for a week shipping.

Cary

Pretty sad that the student has all his materials and the teacher does not.

There have been a number of people asking me if I would build these and offer them. I really do not have the time.

Sorry.

Cary

Things have been quiet in my job this week, so I've had time to order the bits in between applying layers of latex to my first pred skin. Hopefully I'll enjoy messing with the electronics, not like the last time many years ago when I had to learn the basics in the air force - I really couldn't get my head round it.
