Where did you get them?Excellent work, and great post.
I have resin copies of the revolvers (got them years ago), but have always wanted the holsters...

I can only add my compliments to those already offered by more experienced members; I can't begin to tell you how impressed I am by your holster rig, and I'm truly appreciative of the pattern you have so generously provided. For me, the
re's only one thing missing from the drawing: a scale, to show what 1 inch would be on the diagram. Perhaps it's because I have NO experience in prop-making and there's some sort of unwritten rule that everybody else but me knows! I know each person's body measurements are different, but is there any chance you could tell me one dimension somewhere on the pattern, that I can scale from, just to give me a starting point?
Amazing action photos too, by the way!
Absolutely!
You should scale it to your size, but start with these two measurements to scale it to my size:
Front straps with X stitch on them:

Strap that goes accross back:

Thank you, Mooniteman, that's exactly what I need. I realize that there's going to be a lot of adjustment and fitting involved, especially since we're definitely two quite different builds. I'll be using cheaper materials while I work out a pattern to suit my shape, before I move on to leather, but this at least gives me a starting point. I appreciate the info, along with the excellent pattern!
Glad I could help! Yeah scaling it up and down will totally work outside of the holsters. Those are gonna remain roughly the same. And I didn't include the strap that goes over the shoulder because it seemed kind of redundant. It's just a strap.

I will certainly not complain if you made a tracing file.... I might even air hug from afar. Here is a rough of the cuff pattern for anyone making it. I should draft it up in illustrator:

Can I say, thank you so much for this template! I am in the process of making it myself now. Can you give any advice on the leather? thickness and those kind of things?
Great! I ordered 2mm on a whim then panicked it would be too thin! I have a belt already from my Indy Jones holster that’ll work (I hope!) I’ll be sure to give you a shout if I need to! Made a paper template last night and it looks like a perfect fit! 5 weeks till our first con of the year, wish me luck! You are so welcome! It makes me so happy to see that it is helping people and that my months of madness and research are useful to others!
I used veggie tanned tooling leather and I can't remember the exact oz - but the rig / holsters / cuff are 2mm thick and the belt for the waist was 3.5 mm. I got them from Tandy leather and just held pieces in my hand and looked for sides that felt right.
Lmk if you have any other questions!

Thanks! I’ll look into other belts thenAwesome! Good guess! And the Indiana Jones belt is much too thin. Ricks belt is super tall. I’m walking my dogs right now so I don’t know the exact measurements on my template but I think it’s about 2 inches. Also it being that tall helps keep everything in place since the holster is wrapped around it anyway
