My Mk. 42 build, new STL files for upper arm section

Thank you

No im just wondering because i havent yet found a good printable helmet file for the mk42...sorry to hear of the troubles...i know how frustrating it is to get these things to work properly

Hi, sorry to hear about that. It's kind of weird that it dind't print well, because mine print pretty decent. What kind of printer/slicer are you using?
The only problem I had was slight warping of the big parts, which led to a lot of sanding work where I glued the pieces together, but it's pretty easy fixable, just print without bottom solid layers and the warping is almost none.

Might as well post my progress. Thanks to all for the information and files! it is definitely difficult trying to remember the scaling factor for all the parts. I am printing on a home built 10"X10"X10" filament printer.

I used a 1/4" elastic strip. one piece super glued to each of the 3 finger pieces and then 2 more on the sides of the finger piece connecting to the upper hand plate. I'll post pics soon.

I could only insert a zip. file. Here are the palm and cuff separate. I don't know if the scaling factor has been changed from the original. Hope it helps!

Really? I didn't have any problems with printing mine.

I printed the Andy hands, then cut off the thumb part and the knuckles and melted them to the top "cuff" part. that way, you just slide your hand into the top part and hinge the palm section over.

yeah there's no absolutely no infill on that model, ALOT of us on here have tried printing that particular model and it's only 2 shells thick (at max). I posted a pic with Simplify3d using cross section and with the settings on 100% infill there is absolutely no infill.

Also that's the model you posted I used in this photo.

That puzzles me. Using Repetier/Slic3r it shows a fill pattern. I have Fill Density at 25% and Fill Pattern at Rectilinear.

Finally got this done before taking my kids to the Halloween party at the local Zoo. My inner glove ribbed sheet hasn't arrived yet, so I used red duct tape to line the glove. I ran the wire through the arm and under the sleeve of my shirt. There were a lot of little kids who seemed star struck when they saw the arc reactor and MK42 arm! It was great! Thanks Abb eliten!!!

Re: My Mk. 42 build (at page 2)

hey bud quick question , i see that inside its a little big , what did you use to pad or to make it tight on your arm?
Finally at the finishing stages of the forearm. Just the chrome paint, clear coat and polish to go.

Also Ran out of Tamiya masking tape :( So I had to use regular one for the small squares hence the messy edges. Will fix it later.

Figured I'd throw my build in as well, thanks so much for the files! Everything was printed in PETG and finished with XTC-3d before sanding and painting so it's really durable and should last a long time. I went for a weathered look because this is for cons and it's going to get scratched up anyway.
