My C&S Blade Runner blaster customized Paint Job

This is the first one I've seen that doesn't make me itchy.

Great work, nice to see someone go down the 'dark path'. ;)

Yeah didnÂ’t you know, the whole obsession with accuracy comes from a medical condition, an allergy actually... ;)

Hey Rich, looks like they've pushed the (paint) envelope. You really should try it out, just to see. Looks so cool.

I do a "Brand New Finish" for two reasons, one many whom are spending this much think the model they get should look really good.

And Two, it is much easier to do a worn and scruffy look to a good finish that the turn a worn and scruffy finish into a New Look Finish, try it some time, it really is harder....

So I leave the worn and scruffy finishing to the buyers...

But perhaps I could offer a special version, the worn and scruffy model as it was more likely to look on the set model... now what to call it???

Off the Set worn & scruffy Model??

A Special Wearthed and Worn Model?

Ideas?

"SERVICE-WEATHERED" :love :thumbsup

Don't worry about payment for the idea. You can just give me the "consultant's discount" when I finally get to order one. :lol

I like it....

"Service-Weathered Finish"

A realistic worn and scruffed finish to give to look of a used and carried real weapon as if from within the film.

Suggestions??

Commits??

Yes I like the idea of a weathered version. :) The service weathered model.
Great pics BTW on the weathered C&S.

I think a service weahtered one would be an awesome idea..just cements it into the reality of the world of Blade Runner.

Thanks for all the positive replies guys. I'm glad this thread was able to ignite new interest in such a wonderful prop as it has. Thanks again. :)

Nice job on the "bare steel" look. :thumbsup

That was one of my favorite realizations about the "screenused" blaster - there's not a drop of chrome on it, it's all bare steel and black, a really serious looking piece of hardware.
