Mcl34n, your abilities baffle me! This ASM costume is amazing, and those Batman Beyond gloves! Whaaat? I (and probably many others here) would pay mad money for you to focus on filling customer orders for your magnificent creations. But then you wouldn't have time to create new designs... It's a conundrum.

I have to thank MCL34N and El Fett. El Fett sent me a pic for my sons birthday of him in costume and he loves the pic. He has it on his phone and is showing it to everyone. MCL34N Thank you for making such a dang good suit and El Fett thank you for sending the pic.

I'm glad he liked it and I hope he had a great birthday! :)

Hot dogs, cupcakes a movie and shopping. He liked his new android tablet and the phone he just got is also part of his birthday. Tomorrow after we get the grass cut, we're going over to the other property for some shooting. He loves shooting my 1911.

Quick question - thinking about taking a stab at this (always been my dream to have a realistic spidey costume). I found a Dye Sublimation company locally, they are saying their press is 16" by 22". Is that suitable to print the materials necessary?

Unfortunately not. That size is great for most t-shirt and apparel printing, but what you need for a spidey suit, is called "grand format" dye sublimation.

Basically it allows them to print the full width of a bolt of fabric at a time. (approximately 58")

awesome i just wish i knew what fabric he used

Lycra/Spandex. It's been said numerous times here in this thread and elsewhere on the board.

Such industriousness. Refreshing to see such attention to detail and competence in person's work.

Hi, I am totally new here. 1st of all Mc Lean there is no way to describe your work. I think they ought to hire you for the movie on the designing part.

Would like to actually just ask about the endurance of this costume. As in is it able to touch water?

Re: MCL34N's WIP Amazing Spidey Costume (UPDATED 5-20)(Pic Heavy)

Hey guys! Update time!

I'm almost finished with honeycomb on every piece of the suit, but here is a pic of every piece that is finished (basically everything above the waist.) I should be ready to start sewing soon, so you should be seeing some pics of that! Maybe of some gloves...

Hey MCL34N. I've been using the Sam Raimi suit for years now, and I might upgrade my suit a little with 3D brick patterns, because I really love the texture and patterns you apply to the 2012 Webb suit.

Just a quick question however, do you apply the paint directly onto the print? Or do you apply something else as well. I'm really impressed with the 3D effect it has and I apologize if I happened to miss anything. I'm just as much a visual person as I am a sequential-global.

Has anyone been able to get ahold of McL34n recently? I know his inbox is overflowing right now, but I am still trying to contact him to talk further about a print. Just wanted to see if anyone else was having any luck contacting him.

If you were on his first run, I'm sure he'll touch base with everyone as the prints go out. If you were not in his first run, then you have to wait until he opens up a second run. As for the in between time, you just have to be patient.
