lost boys MARKO jacket replica!

Here's the new orange and blue squid skirt. I went with a 10" on the orange and blue, and a 12" on the green and yellow. It looks as if that's how it is on the movie jacket. The current set I have is really nice, and I love the colors, but to my eyes they just look too robust and big on the jacket. The new set I personally like a little better because they're a little thinner and lighter, with the exception of the black spots on the blue. I'm going to try and see how the new set looks and will post a picture. I did see that there is also fishing lure paint that is "supposedly" made for vinyl lures. I haven't used it so I don't know how well it works, but it's another option besides using acrylic paint for the eyes.View attachment 1915487

Just got the blue and orange skirt. No eye though. I don't know why he shipped it without the eye. Maybe if I applied fabric paint it'll do the trick.

Remember I posted awhile back that the ones with an eye are special order with a minimum of twelve? Just paint it on, you can use acrylic or special vinyl lure paint from Cabela's or Bass Pro Shop if you want a more durable finish. The cheap acrylic paint from Walmart will probably be fine though. Don't use enamel, it won't dry on the vinyl.

I found this sharpie type pen on Amazon. It says it's good for rubber. I thought drawing the eye on would be less messy. Have you tried this product?

That's a negative. It looks like an oil based enamel paint pen and will not dry on vinyl. The two are not chemically compatible and the paint will permanently remain tacky. Rubber and vinyl are chemically different. It needs to be paint specifically for vinyl, or acrylic..

Ok. Just checking other options. Thanks.

This is the fourth time I've tried painting the eye and it just isn't working. Maybe if I mixed it with a primer it will adhere to the surface. IMG_20250810_083356.jpg

That appears to be flat and flat paints tend to crack and chip very easy, especially when it's inexpensive paint. You can try getting a tube of better quality paint in "gloss" from Michaels or Hobby Lobby and see how that works. Save your receipts and return the paint if it doesn't work to your satisfaction.

Alright will do. Walmart here sucks. Not one tube or bottle of craft paint to be seen.
