But my opinion still stands. If someone tried to do a skin job in blue or green and it came out fugly, then that doesn't mean that someone else can't try with different intensities of the blues or greens, or damn, even purple. And they can do a better job and set the standard for how it should be done.
I think the reason I am sticking up for blue, is because a very dear Predator character of mine is blue, but he's a navy blue, and it's of a natural tone with the black pebbly texture above it, with lighter blue tones in the more "vulnerable" areas. I doubt I'd think of him as a skittle because I took the time to figure out his colors without making it outrageous or "rainbowie".
I'm not saying to use blue, but try to tone down the "Naw! Skittles Naw!" rants when it comes to basic color-wheel colors as blue. Unless you are speaking of hot pink or flamboyant blue...then you have a reason to cry "crap rainbow".
