Joker Glock discussion

Okay I know a bit about guns guys. I don't know what has or has been answered.

Some things I saw

Yes, it is a 17, non railed version.

The little pin on the back, I'm assuming its the same as a Springfield XD/most other guns, like my aw338 (airsoft version, works the same) but it's used to tell if a bullet is chambered in the gun.

This is my airsoft G19. Yes its not screen accurate, its a g19, and I was too lazy to get the polished slide out.

I had no intentions of it ever being like TDK as I had constructed that way before TDK came out. But I was quite happy it looked similar.

And unfortunately, I don't know how much has been said but KSC/KWA/marui/other glocks are now "illegal" to sell within the US. You can still supposedly get it overseas though. Just Glock decided to be a crybaby about selling copyrighted airsoft guns. :( And I liked Glock :(

Spartan is right about the legal issues regarding sales (AFAIK, Sig Sauer did this as well, they figured they could make a better airsoft themselves with full trades and a jacked up price, and Glock took a cue from them), I forgot to mention that. Perhaps Vengecore will chime in as he works at Airsoft Atlanta.

double you tee eff! Did not know that about sig.

As it says in the forum, the glock is probably just going to be a copy off of kwas but with propper glock trademarks--and boosted up in price to 200-300 :\.

Someone works at a-atlanta here? Special deals for rpf members?!?!?! lol. Repairs too?!?!? AND glocks for all1??!?!?!?!!?!?

CHIME! Yes I work for Airsoft Atlanta. What has happened is that Glock Has filed a copwright/trademark for them to produce toy guns with their logos on them. KWAUSA has decided to halt civilian sales of their products due to this news.

as far as what sig did. they took the KJW Sig 226 and 229 and just sell it on their site for $300, we used to sell it for $140 before Sig (and CyberGun) started suing everyone.

SO, techincally the Glock replicas are not illegal to sell as of yet its just that the industry is paranoid of possible legal ramifications.

Noooo. Glocks do not have the pin in the back. The XD has that and it is to tell you if the Striker is ****** and reset and does not indicate a loaded chamber. The loaded chamber indicator is located on the top of the slide just behind the breech in the center, it angles up to indicate the loaded chamber. Also a glocks strikers is set when pulling the trigger, it is "at rest" untill then.

Yeah that sums it up better than me :p. I've never seen a g18 in person, so I wasn't surei f it had that pin. So maybe it was to modify auto on a g17 like people are saying? not sure how, but its a mystery!

And ****** I guess is more of what I was looking for, as it makes sense when you think about it.

there is a sear in the G17 that has to be filed down. The KWA berreta can be made full auto the same way. I have never done the research to do the mod, but they all have the same firing group. excluding the 23 and 18

It won't w/o some dremeling, rendering the gun inoperable. If you don't care about using it as an airsoft gun then it can probably be done.

Not to be an Airsoft Elitest or anything but...Kapowwe has that G18c 50rd mag overpriced by 4 dollars!

I Am Ticked Off! (or Buyer Beware) :angry

I hope nobody minds, but I really need to vent a little. A few months ago I saw an eBay auction this guy put up for a realistic reproduction of the Joker's Glock from The Dark Knight complete with silencer and extended magazine. I wanted one for a prop for Halloween and then I was going to put it in a display case. The auction had just ended so I contacted the seller asking if he'd be putting up another one. He said he could do one for me as a comission so I sent him my payment.

When I got the gun a few weeks later, it was the wrong color (black slide instead of silver). I contacted him and he apologized, asked me to send the gun back and said he'd fix it, which I did.

The second time I got it back it had a new problem. He'd plugged the barrel so the silencer wouldn't fit. I contacted him again and again he apologized and asked me to send it back, which I did.

The third time I got it back he'd unplugged the barrel but there was another new problem with the mag. Now I'd been cool with him up til this point, told him to take his time, said I was in no rush and everything was friendly but after waiting three months and spending over $50 to keep returning it I told him I was fed up and wanted to return it for a refund. He ignored a few emails until I mentioned that I'd complain to the Internet Crime Commission, the Better Business Bureau and the Police since the 45 day limit Paypal has to file a claim had expired. He sent me a very pissy email but agreed to accept it's return and refund my payment so I sent it back again.

I tracked it and a few days after he'd received it I wrote and asked where my refund was. Again he ignored my emails so I called the main number for the company he works for (Keystone Arsenal) and he picked up the phone. He told me very smugly that he wasn't going to send me a refund and he was going to destroy the gun, claiming that I'd unplugged the barrel and therefore it was unsellable (a complete lie). Then I get an email from the owner of the company who threatened to sick his lawyers on me if I didn't back off.

I filed my complaints with the BBB and Internet Crime Commission but so far they've proven fruitless. So now it seems my only option is to take him to small claims court which would cost me more time and money then I might get back if I won.

So I've resigned myself that I'm out $300 and there's nothing more I can do.

Edit: Take that back. They are made for all 9mm including the 26 which is the sub-compact.

Sorry I'm late on this discussion, guys. :)

Here's a pic of my real G19 with 30 round pre-ban clip:

I know you guys are focused on Airsofts, but unfortunately all I have is the real thing. :( Hope it helps, maybe for size comparison or scaling or whatnot.

BTW, I used to "know a guy" who sold the CNC blueprints that would allow you to modify any Glock into full auto. These were the same plans that were available on www.fullautoglock.com 10 years ago before they were shut down. It's not hard to do with some machining skill. :cool

Anyway, hope the pic helps in some way!

That's utter crap, I would call the local police department and see if they can do anything. They provide an address on their website. Times are tough and $300 is a good sum of money. I'd keep after it. What exactly are the guys lawyers going to do anyway? The worst they could get you for is harassment and you could get them for fraud which I believe is a felony. Speaking of that, couldn't you go after them for mail fraud? Did you use you credit card to pay Pay Pal? If so you could contact them and try and get your money back.

I wouldn't give up on it just yet man.

Isn't that illegal? :angel

Thats a pretty slick gun though. I'd like to buy a glock someday. I'm trying to get ahold of a Saiga 12 right now though. :love

It's fine as long as you have the proper licenses. No different than owning a full auto AK or an M-60. ;) It helps that gun laws are very lenient where I live, probably 2nd only to Alaska in terms of leniency. Gotta love it! :D

Thanks. :D I've got lots of mods in it. In true RPF fashion, I just can't leave anything alone once I buy it. Must... modify... it... :lol

Ok, so does anyone know where I can buy an Airsoft Glock 17 or 18c (preferably metal or a metal/composite) with a silver slide? I've looked everywhere on the web and can't find anyone who isn't sold out.

Not anymore. we have been over this a few times. KWA doesn't sell their Glock replicas anymore. but all you need is KWA G18c and you can polish the slide down to a mirror sheen. provided it wont have trades, but its the closest you are gonna get. look for one used on airsoft communtiy sites like airsoftretreat.com, arniesairsoft.com, airsoftforum.com.

BTW: that sucks about that Ebay ordeal. will they not send the gun back to you at least?

Not true, post '86 full auto is only legal for police/government or FFL owners that pay for a Class 2 or 3 Special Occupational Tax... The FFL with the Class 2 or 3 Tax has to be actively in the business of manufacturing or selling NFA weapons to be legit, you can't just pay the tax so you can have cool stuff, it has to be a legit business venture...

Civilian ownership of a post '86 or post '86 build/converstion to full auto is outlawed at the federal level...

In short it's a felony for those that convert illegally, your State laws don't matter as it's Federal Law...

Then I get an email from the owner of the company who threatened to sick his lawyers on me if I didn't back off.

To be blunt tell him to go ahead and even go so far as to request his councils contact information, and then contact them yourself... Tell him straight up that you very much look forward to explaining and talking it over with his council on a professional level in regards to their clients probable act of committing mail fraud and theft... And that you would like to explain to his council that you desire is to come to an amicable solution outside of the legal court system in a timely fashion...

You have nothing to lose, he can't threaten harassment and if he does then you get to have a chat with his local police anyway... And I'm sure they would love to hear the other side of the story as it's not harassment but rather a dispute...
