Id like to do the same but I'm also worried the HG jacket will only be in small numbers and sell out, so if I don't get one and then Magnoli isn't any better I'll have missed out!

HeadGoonie matched the original Guess denim, just in the wrong color. Magnoli uses generic denim, I think.

Headgoonie has the right color, just not faded enough. And they seem to be saying that it’s impossible to fade one color without fading the other.
There’s no way I’m paying $700 for a photoshopped jacket.

If anyone here sells a 2018, I might just get it. I thought it looked nice. Not too accurate, but the shape was good. I'm going to an anniversary showing of Part 1 in June, so I'm hoping to get one before then. I might just use the 83 I have, though.

Hey MitasTouch, did you let Magnoli know about using an accurate fabric for both the denim jacket and vest? Not only improving the hue color of both the denim jacket and vest for the next release.

If Magnoli somehow finds suitable crossweave and oxford denim that matches the Guess jacket and fades it, that would be fantastic, but the specific denim weaves are pretty hard to come by in those colors, if at all.

Yet another edit of what I would have liked it to look like. I really wish they wouldn't take product photos like this and would instead lay it down with the shoulders flat. It makes it look like an egg.

I’m honestly hoping both Headgoonie and Magnoli produce the highest quality of accuracy when it comes to the final production, especially the collaboration and input this thread and MitasTouch has been putting effort into for both. But part of me is hoping Magnoli hits this opportunity out of the ball park since we can’t really see the final production of Headgoonie’s jacket lol, at the moment. I can’t really cough up 700+ dollars on a jacket that’s no where near accurate just to hope for the next release in 3-5 years to be an improvement.

Indy Magnoli Our faith is in your hands when it comes to the production of creating a near perfect BTTF denim jacket and vest for the upcoming 40th anniversary lol. As much as the color/hue, shape, and dimensions is important, materials for the denim jacket especially the cross weave/oxford is definitely needed. Godspeed
