Hasbro Pulse 1984 Proton Pack up for Pre-order

Dont know what theyre thinking not having the 84 wand back up for preorder right now.

I'm quite pleased about this. Hopefully it makes its way to NZ as this is a big piece I'm missing from my GB collection!

I want a build thread of the mods you do to it!
It would probably be a lot of the same mods i did to the Afterlife pack. Aluminum motherboard, bunch of fullers earth weathering, blue light cover, replacing some hoses. Just a lighter touch overall to the weathering. It would honestly be a lot less work than the Afterlife pack was, especially with the internal electronics having a USBC powered option, so no need for a 3rd party chip for the bypass.

Just ordered mine! I'm working on a Spengler-style cosplay and have been printing a Q-Pack, but this will be a great backup or extra.

I'm really feeling for the people who bought the Haslab thinking that was going to be the only option. I bailed on the Afterlife pack but was excited as hell to see this. I had wondered if this was in the future when I saw the '84 wand coming out as well but did not buy one since I did buy Spengler's wand already. I wonder if Hasbro took a look at the Spirit of Halloween pack the past few years, saw the market of people buying and modding those(and of course all the regular custom builders), and figured, "we can do this better for a bit more money and people will buy it". Well it's Hasbro so hopefully that's what they were thinking lol.

I wonder if this means an '84 PKE and Trap 2 pack will be available in the future too? Perhaps sold individually...
Possibly a future for RGB props?
Extreme and GB2016 versions?

I hope it does well and opens the future so all fans can get the versions they want (and haven't already built). I would buy an RGB pack/wand for sure. Likely a PKE and trap as well.

So saying all that, I definitely pre-ordered one and bought an '84 wand right after lol. I do have some parts for a build that I never got around to finishing, and this totally reinvigorated me with wanting a pack and even thoughts on how I may mod it with some other or metal parts out there. Some much needed motivation and a bit of joy.

I'm on the fence. I've always wanted an '84 pack, but after spending all of the time and money modding the Afterlife pack, I think I'd rather build an '84 myself than start with one of these. I like my Afterlife pack, but there's enough stuff that still makes it look like a toy that I think I'm going to pass on this one.

And RGB pack and wand would be amazing…

Some new info on the '84 pack:

- Will not come with Alice frame mounting brackets, but the holes and threads in the pack will be present.
- No stand (I think we all knew this)
- '84 lights and sounds only (switch in cyclotron removed .... rumble removed?)
- Some retooling has already been done based on feedback

Interesting they didn’t keep the afterlife cyclotron lights.. the OGs in afterlife cyclotron spun just like the afterlife pack… hmmmm
