Some of these toys are really getting good at replicating their studio counterparts, and it’s a great chance for folks like myself who have neither the skill, or the means to try and build them from scratch to at least pursue modifying (as you write, in the case of the Snow Speeder) or just re-painting something and getting a better chance at having a nice bigger scale model at the end of it.
Very good points too about the sturdiness of them over general models, and this too brings them in line more with their studio cousins.
All in all, it’s opened a pretty exciting new world of possibility to me.
