GOONIES Never Say Bye (the sequel?)

Please be fake… please

I recently watched the original and man what an annoying film...constant screaming and yelling and interrupting the entire film. Not sure how this ever became a classic. I guess kids would like it but as an adult, id rather listen to nails on a chalkboard.
I was like 23 when I first saw this.
It was alright, but I imagine if I had seen it younger and more when growing up, I'd like it way more.
Something like the original Ninja Turtle films I love. Yeah, silly and goofy, and most kids born in the earlier 70s and beyond probably looked at it like it was dumb. I get that....although, TMNT sure grew to be quite the massive hit.

I really do need to rewatch the Goonies though....and a lot of old movies from back then I've still never seen, knowing they won't have that same impact now.
But I can very much respect the fans that do love it, and others.

And like with a lot of old classics, most the time, best left untouched.

Yeah, i'm totally into going back and watching films from my generation that i STILL haven't seen yet. TMNT was huge when it came out. I rewatched it with my kids and they enjoyed it but it was totally corny as heck...lol. Goonies is a different story with me. I'm starting to understand more why people like certain movies now almost like music. The ability of both of them inspiring a memory that takes you back is a good enough reason to be a timeless classic in our own eye's even though it may not have been to the masses. I remember there was a movie called The Wizard that starred Fred Savage that was pretty much a promotional tool for the New Super Mario bros 3 Nintendo game. In my neighborhood, that was huge. The whole town went to watch it lol...but was it a great movie? No, but ask a kid hooked on Nintendo and it was like their signature movie.

My Mom rented The Wizard when it came out on VHS. Silly movie, but I totally need to watch it again. I always love those silly 80s and 90s movies like that.

I watched The Wizard in the theater and rewatched it in the past couple years. It's corny, but the nostalgia factor is what makes me still like it. I remember having a huge crush on that redhead girl. I was 12 when it came out.
I'm dying over here...lol, i did too...that's crazy. I was 13 and yeah, the build up to the movie, i'll never forget.
