Haha I wish I can take credit for that but it is from a Japanese Live Action Anime "Garo"
I recommend any Predator fans to watch it for its FX and suit creation/ armor designs

Shame on me, but Mike, what clay do you use?

Right now I'm sculpting in plasticine, but I have trouble smoothing it to a degree that I like (though partly because I need more tools).

I'm using a generic Chinese Brand Oil Clay in normal room temperature it would be a medium hardness. There are many ways to smooth oil clay
ranging from using rakes and loop tools to using water+fingers, alcohol +brush, or a flame torch.

I do all the above techniques to get certain effects and textures.

Garo Means "Wolf's Fangs or teeth" in Japanese. Also a name of the Live action TV show.

This is going in a direction I like more. Now the hard part is making everything symmetrical and the forms more solid.

I most certainly have to build more tools and buy some for finer detailing, and I've yet to decide on the finisching texture... One part of me really wants it just smooth and hammered, the other wants it more... organic.

OK More progress on this Shoulder Bell Armor.
Its pretty much 90% there. Still some symmetry issues to work out and its off to molding.
Call me lazy but it is meant to be viewed more from the sides so I may leave it having a slight asymmetrical skew to throw off the eye

Sculpting the mini skull buckle head Next so I can mold them together.

Ah Busy week of molding and casting stuff.

Made some "dirty" castings of the mini skulls with resin dust mixed with resin. Then some clean castings with plain resin.
Gonna paint them up this weekend after I get some much needed rest and rejuvenation (like going to see Avatar)
