Interest Geonobi hilt accuracy upgrade kit

So if I were to get my current geonobi installed the kit wouldn’t affect the installation right? The only different install wise would be to use a 7/8 blade?

That is correct. Once i get the prototypes I will test this, but the design intent was to keep the same installation.

Any eta when you'd possible have the prototype in hand?
Not yet, not sure you are aware but Saberbay will stop operations shortly. However the upgrade project will continue and I will be handling it as originaly planned. There is just a slight delay while Saberbay gets things sorted out.

I will keep you posted.

Yeah, I had heard and was worried as to your partnership with him too. Thanks for keeping us posted!

Update:

So shop finished the parts. We decided not to do a brushed finish because there are several runs of the Geonobi and each has different grades of brushing. It would be difficult to decide which version to match. To match the hilts its relatively easy with a scotch bright pad.

Here are pics of the parts:

Sales link will be added once I get confirmation of the delivery date.

Thanks.

Silly question, but what is the best way to remove/replace the stock red buttons from the hilt?
They are secured by the 3d printed chassis, you slide it out from the front side and they fall inside the hilt.

To add the new ones it's tricky, but putting the hilt with the holes facing down then slide the buttons in, align and then slide the chassis back in to plce.

Understable about the finished! Sounds like an opportunity to buy some bras black and try a go at weathering. Is price still at $75?

Hi sorry again for the lack of updates. This project had a big setback, the kits are done and all however the threads are different form the original Geonobis. When I designed the Geos i had made the threading be M34 but the shop used by Saberbay made the threading M33. I didn't know this as i was not part of the production process, and never needed to verify the threading. I also didn't receive the prototypes to test and I assumed that they were fine but oh well.

So I was presented with a couple of options, and decided to make the body as well to complete the kit. I know this is not what you guys expected but I'm just trying to make the best of what i have.

On the plus side, the body will have the same finish as the rest of the parts and you can DIY it as you wish.

Anyways these will be sold as a DIY hilt, with no product box, to keep cost down.

Once the bodies are done, these will be sold at $125usd

Again sorry for this, I understand if you are not interested anymore on this project.
