Fallout: New Vegas (Video Game)

I've looked. The platinum chip usually goes for what it'd cost to get the collectors edition to begin with! It's crazy! Maybe if people wait a few more months?

Which is funny since its aluminum and not real platinum lol. Any suggestions what color paper to print the NCR cash on? I was thinking white or maybe cream colored. the color on my tv is going so its hard to tell some colors.

That's what I was thinking. I was thinking of a light green like it shows in the pictures but i figure the printer'll cover that. ugh just realized even if i get the paper tomorrow i need ink x.x i should have bought a laser jet printer lol.

I knew you guys would be able to make these better, I never even considered different paper types. I just printed them on regular printer paper :(
I cannot wait to see what you guys come up with.

I was thinking of looking for something fancy with a texture sorta rough like real cash. In the Fallout world I bet they'd use anything they could get their hands on out of warehouses since I doubt papermills are back up and running in large quantities. It would be a major chore just to print enough bills let alone make the other supplies from scratch. I'm trying to recognize the folks on the bills. The first one is Aradesh who was running Shadysands in Fallout 1, the 2nd one is his daughter Tandy who is in F1 and 2. The third guy is probably the current president.

I forgot all about him. He has 3 major parts in a game and gets on a 20.00 bill, we should all be that lucky lol.

my printer is dead and buried....So i tried taking the file to Kinkos....got turned down cause it "looks like real money"....and they can't be caught printing cash....Ug. People.

Yea...but it's the same reason the Two face coin that came with the Walmart Batman TDK had "COPY" deeply etched into the good side.....arg. I'm gonna have to cast it and get rid of that i guess.

that's the government for you. won't stop drugs coming into the country but heaven forbid you make props that look nothing like real money.

i had to laugh when they started putting "Not legal tender" on MONOPOLY MONEY!!! Granted, with all the crap they're doin to our cash now, it's startin to LOOK like monopoly money...but still.

What size are these supposed to be? I have a hard time figuring that squinting at my 15" monitor. ;P

alright I may be wrong but...
from the size of this image I measured (ruler on monitor, dont worry it is a flat screen)
The pen in that image is about 3.8125 inches long
Half the length of the top $20 is about 2.5 inches making the full length about 5 inches in that image
Assuming that pen is the length of a regular pen (about 5.25 inches based on the pen I measured)
I figure the Length (<--->) of the money is about 6.9 inches
now half the width (|) of that money on the image is about 1.5 inches making it about 3 inches (on the image)
that would make the area of that money (in the image) about 15 inches squared
So the width (|) of the money (in real life) should be about 4.14 inches
so the area of the money should be about 28.6 inches squared

Now Im going to stress that my math could be wayyy off but its the best i have to determine the size for you guys.
also I got my measurements from an image on my screen, other image measurements could vary. also It is rough because i couldnt get an exact measurement for the pen to compare.
I will feel really dumb if it is wrong lol but yea.

I hate math lol. Those bills sound to be the size of the cash back in the civil war when they were oversized frontier style. i got the paper to print them and other paper props but i'm waiting for you guys to try this before i print the money lol.

Old-style US currency averaged 7.4218 × 3.125 inches (189 × 79 mm) in size. In 1929, currency was changed to the current size, 6.14 × 2.61 inches (or 156 × 66.3 mm). Your measurements make it seem like the bills are supposed to be similar to old-style currency. I wonder if a bill is printed at that length, if the height then matches up.

I'm not sure,
mine are about 5in x 2.5in
The way I see it, is these bills are from over 200 years into the future. who knows what size they would be :D

Oh also though if you wanted to be 100% accurate, what you could do is drop one of the bills next to a lunch box (in-game)
then take a screen shot and do the math to find the bill size

*looks around nervously fumbling with the lunch money in my pocket*...When did i get back in school? And where are the bullies? *hides*
