Fallout 4

Can you play a girl in Morrowind or Oblivion who can hook up with other girls?

I've only ever played Skyrim.

The amount of folks I know that have beat 4 and then gone back to play Vegas is staggering. Just because of the faction options. Still tempted myself at times. I only finished it with the NCR storyline. A remastering of Vegas seems silly at first, but if they could put the settlement building into it.....

I want to go back to play Vegas moreso because I just finished replaying FO3 just prior to 4. And I'm still in a Fallout mood. I enjoyed Vegas for it's own qualities though I admit I found the factions frustrating for a completionist.

Yeah I worked for every group as long as possible in 4 and ended up going with the Railroad/Minutemen, so going against the BoS and Institute only locked out I believe 2 quests for each of those. I wanted to get as many quests done as possible. I still have a save point I can go back to one of these days and side with the BoS or Institute.

Somehow I've managed to keep all my companions, though Danse has been in a state of shock for months now after I blew up the airship. I can move him between settlements and trade gear with him but he won't talk to me. X6-88 has still speaks with me as normal despite blowing up the Institute. I keep all my companions in the Mechanist Lair. I gave them couches around the big M on the floor so when I show up it looks like they're in group therapy thanks to me messing up their lives.

I know folks hate achievements but as i said before if i like the game i see them more as a challenge and NV is one of those games that makes you actually earn the stuff unlike 4 where they just throw them at you if you do next to nothing. Killing 5 death claws with a .22 pistol is a chore lol. It's a good game but four is the weakest of the Bethesda fallouts.

I've only ever played Skyrim.

Well that wasn't the first thing I thought of to try... so I don't know. :lol

I played Skyrim before any ES game and I got Oblvion in a Steam sale. I played it for a few weeks then uninstalled. I'm not sure if I'm explaining it 100% correctly, but I think when you level up, monsters level with you, so you never feel like your combat skills improve. So you have to just whack something with a sword as many times at level 50 as level 1. It was just not fun.

I played Oblivion but don't remember much of it as it seemed to be a giant open world mess to me. I have the game of the year edition of skyrim that i haven't opened yet. It's on the ps3 so i'm going to assume it'll run as badly on it as Fallout 3 and new vegas did.

Bethesda makes great games, but they definitely have their technical issues. They're great for locking up your console that's for certain.
Could they be way better.... well yeah. But they're definitely playable.

New Vegas probably has the best "repeat playability". I think I played through that one 3 times. It's got just enough that you don't mind starting back over with nothing. F3 and F4... when It's exhausting just to think about starting over when I look at how much crap I have to do again. Part of what was awesome about F4 was going into the world not knowing what you're going to run into or see or find. It's like an M. Night Shyamalan movie. Yeah, you can watch it again, but the surprises that make it exciting are only good once.

Nuka World doesn't look like anything special to me... I'll get around to it eventually.

I'm bouncing back and forth between F4 and Destiny these days. I went back to F4 to play with all the new building stuff and to finish the Institute storyline. I felt really bad about killing everyone in the Railroad. Not so much with the BoS though. They're a-holes anyway.

I quit Destiny for good so now i can work on the backlog thanks to the addiction being broken lol. Out of all the Fallout games F4 had the least issues with frame rate or anything aside from the f'n crashing while in build mode and a few other glitches. Such as not being able to see my pipboy when not in power armor lol. That said I think this was a learning experience for Bethesda when it comes to what to do and not do in the next one.

What didn't you like about Destiny?
I'll agree it gets repetitive and lacks variety in the way Fallout does...

The biggest lockup I had on F4 was when I went to wipe out the Bos for the Institute and decided on a full front assault. Too much laser fire at one time... the console just couldn't handle it I guess.

I don't think I've had any issues when building.... besides building something high and falling off the edge and dying and having to start all over, but that's more operator error. ;)

I'm not keen on being social and that pretty much killed the game for me, I noticed interacting with folks on there had the same negative effects and triggers as dealing with folks in real life. Never thought a game would trigger my anxiety disorder lol

I liked New Vegas, but I never had any interest in playing as Legion. You had options for the outcome, but c'mon they aren't that different. It's not like you got more game in NV (other than DLC...). Legion might be different, but the others play out exactly the same right up until the Dam battle.

Yeah all 3 choices you had actually shared at least one mission that is basically the same where you either kill or protect the NCR president just like you share a few of the same missions in 4. It probably can't be avoided but it would have been interesting to have more variety of missions depending on your faction. Finished Lonesome Road last night and I swear it was a much longer DLC. I'm saving the one at the empty casino for last as it's the one I like the least.

I hear you on that. Not the anxiety part -- I make friends pretty readily and have no problem talking to people... But I don't like the forced-interaction part of it. I don't like that there are things in Destiny you flat out can't do solo. On the flip side, there are a small handful of people I do like gaming with, and we're something like a guild... but what with time zone and schedule differences, we have hardly ever been able to sync up so we're all online at one time.

Ironically, this is something I wish was in ES or FO -- multiplayer support. I've been annoyed back to New Vegas that I couldn't have multiple companions. I've been a paper-and-dice gamer since way back, and it's hard to shake the "adventuring party" mentality. And having the AI characters fill in for my flesh-and-blood friends with whom I can never coordinate. My ideal is that you would have a maximum party size based on level or charisma or some other factor(s), and those slots could be filled by human players or AI NPCs. ES, FO, Destiny, Halo, etc. That way people who don't want to or can't socialize aren't penalized for it, don't miss out on the experience.

It didn't help that my clan in destiny all left or have new work schedules. I'm buying titanfall 2 since it has an offline single player mode, it's only 8 hours or so but it's better than nothing. I agree all Bungie had to do is give us AI team mates like in Reach, that worked pretty good.

There are people where I live that turned me on to Destiny that are more than willing to help me do things that can't be done alone.

But I agree.... that's what I like about Fallout... I can go at it alone. Sometimes the need for help in Destiny is a turn-off. Especially when the things you need help on to get are usually extremely drawn out. I'm still working on getting calcified fragments over two months after starting.

I hate that Destiny hides crap in multiplayer stuff that ticks off the other folks when you stop to get them: the fragments are a good one during the raid, and then you have dead ghosts during strikes. You stop to go after those the other guys are gonna give you hell. I'm starting to think Bungie's staffed by kids just out of college. I'm hoping the new Fallout DLC won't go too fast as it took about 5 hours to finish far harbor.

It helps to get a good group for multiplayer in Destiny. I've been very lucky using the100. You can lay out the plan prior to going into it.

I don't know what the advantage of chasing down dead ghosts is besides an achievement of some sort.

The fragments, however... what a pain.

I've only been on one raid where there was someone that had a problem with how things were being done and he was asked to leave before we got any real momentum.
Most of the guys I've played with are very tolerant. Maybe because they're mostly Brits or something. ;)
