yep, it's in final approval - they need to add some engraving to a few pieces but the shapes are locked in! I signed off on my end of things yesterday afternoon (for what it's worth). It's not a hyper accurate port (there are no raised part numbers or pin/ejector marks) but it will be wonderful to have these shapes in styrene again! The test shot fits together like a glove! There was a build up on Culttvman's table... I'm sure someone took a pic.
I'm not sure about other models the Sealab was used for, but, off the top of my head, I can't think of an instance on the Falcon where the raised part numbers were visible anyway.
Doll and Hobby said this about their Sealab III kit: "Much of the appeal of this kit is that many parts were used in the production of the Star Wars miniatures by Industrial Light and Magic back in 1975 and 1976. We wanted this reissue to remain faithful to the original kit with minimal compromises and changes. The 3d files were approved in early 2024."
I got another test shot - almost ready! Improvements have been made and it's really wild to hold styrene in your hand that isn't brittle and in a different configuration! (Ignore the color, it's a test shot!)... i'll take better pics soon
