Dexter costume

I bought some a few weeks ago from a seller who had a bunch of auctions up and was out of tundras. Got a refund, so i'd ask first.

My sis got tickets for this years Scream Awards!! Dexter isnt nominated but Micheal C. Hall is for best horror actor. You gotta dress up as one of the nominees so i'll be goin in my Dexter! Really hope he wins this year but he always gets bent over by those nancy boys from true blood.

True, but true blood is good show tho

well i was gonna buy a pair for that price but they didnt have my size. he has 6 available so to everyone lookin for some cheap 511's check that link out and see if they have your size. $33 shipped is a steal for those pants

did some one on here grab those as they are sold now? that was a good deal for those boots. wish they were in my size

I've got to say a big thanks to DarkPassenger for getting in touch with me and hooking me up with a pair of the G-Star pants. Tom, they fit perfectly and they're awesome, thanks!

So I've removed the "look at my penis" G-Star tag and now I'm wondering how to remove the silk screened branding on the rear pocket without damaging the pants. Has anybody tried it with any success?

Also, as long as I'm on the subject of making the getup more wearable, does anybody else have a squeaky boot problem with their Diesels? I've been wearing mine for months; gotten them dusty, soaked, and probably walked over 100 miles in them, and they still squeak as much as they did when they were brand new. It's pretty loud, and it seems very wrong considering these are the boots Dexter supposedly wears when sneaking up on people.

No clue about the squeakiness. Is it the leather thats making the noise? Mine just clunk with every step on hard flooring. It sounds like a girl walking on high heels... only slightly more manly.

Pretty sure it's the leather. Also, the right boot lets out a woosh of air on each step every time I go down the stairs.

Yea g stars are awesome pants. I too removed the g-star tag on the front by the fly but have left the back alone.

so the gloves are Damascus D302 gloves, which i have, but, as i have just been looking at a new pair, my dad likes gloves like these for "driving" gloves, and now im wondering when i search i come up with D 302L, D302 Ultrathin (which seem to be discontinued) thw 302W and the 302D, which are they again? just the regulat D302 Ultrathins right?

I just use Rothco gloves. They're virtually identical and a lot cheaper if memory serves.

Hi all!

Thanks for all the research you did on the costume! I'm a broke grad. student, so I had to stick with just the pants and shirt for authenticity. Still, it is close enough to be obvious! Here's my final product.

P.S. For those interested, the blood is a raspberry ice cream topping from a chocolate shop I used to work in years ago. It looks exactly like venous blood if you don't spread it out too thin! Here's a link on where you can get it. Best part, you can eat what you don't use! Ice Cream Toppings Gourmet Ice Cream Toppings Gourmet Chocolates (bottom left picture)

Been lurking a while. Finally registered. Love Dexter! We went as Dexter and victim to a party last night. The key to the victim's costume is to rotate between crunching, twisting and flat use of saran wrap. He was wearing nude boy shorts, but that's it.

I sprayed my green henley shirt with spray blood and also sprayed my face shield with the same. The apron has blood on it too, but since I could not track down a vinyl apron, you can't really see the blood spots. We sprayed a ton of the spray blood on the saran wrap at the end and then wrapped one more layer to keep the blood contained and looking fresh.

I used lots of spray blood for this one. Covered face shield with two layers of spray and then went to town on henley shirt and apron, before wrapping him in saran wrap. The trick with keeping the saran wrap non-transparent is to alternate between twisting, crunching and flattening saran wrap. Finally I sprayed 5 layers of blood and wrapped a final layer of saran wrap to keep blood contained, but looking fresh.

I could not find the exact color henley on such short notice and a vinyl apron was out of the question.
