I still don't know if I'd say the mocha bisque are in the opening, but the color has really grown on me. At first they look kind of like the hideous pumpkin orange Indy Alden's from the 90s, but the color variation makes them look really nice. They're also probably the most comfortable boots I own outside of the Alden's, and the most supportive on the ankle. IMO they were worth the money completely.

As to lightening the leather, you can do it with Nulife spray, but I've never used the stuff. It's my understanding that it's sort of a dye/paint blend. It will crack if you spray it on thick enough, but a thin coat would slightly tint them. I wouldn't bother.

You can call your local Diesel store and they can find one that has them in stock, then you can pay by credit card over the phone, that's how I got mine.

Doesn't mean it has to be close by. My "local" store is 2.5 hours away. I called and they ordered my boots from one of the California stores.

from what "THEMAN" has told me about lightening my current boots up a bit, i can do a alcohol rub down which will lighten them. ofcourse going to do it in a small area you cant see in case i mess up lol. right now i gotta put the diesels on hold as i have to get my watch plated which is seeming to be a pain in the ass as no place in town seems to "plate" watches. some say they can but i need to bring it in and they have to send it to someone else. they said if its just stainless steel underneath the gold plating that they can get rid of all the gold and it will be very cheap. otherwise it will be around $150 to have it plated, the watch, dials, and hands. after that i have to buy the kill knife, then the actual boots, OR just start on my kill tools which i may do if i can get the color right on mine or atleast close to it. can always take them to a leather store and have the leather work done

My wife and I are on the laptop right now, she loves replica props to so I brought her to this thread to show her the dexter costume, and to follow the link to the showtime store, but as soon as she saw the Dexter's Lab pic she started:lol laughing:lol her butt off, she is laughing while I am typing this!

I stopped by the Diesel store because I was nearby, and not only do they still stock all three colors of Cassidy (mocha, black, green) they also have a new model which is sort of...... interesting. It's made of this nasty green leather, feels more like pleather to me, but it's also half canvas, like a military boot. That was the only part I liked. It lacked all of the weird details of the Cassidy's, I don't think it should even be listed under the same name. Also, the liner canvas is printed with a sort of fashion camo. One of the worst looking boots I've seen that wasn't owned by one of my roommates/made by Mark Nason (for a laugh, do a google search).

They are G-Star Raff Elwood pants in Olive. They have a vertical stripe on the back right pocket. There is a big button on the front right pocket where the 5th pocket on normal jeans usually is. There is also a small pocket on the front left leg as pictured.

Now I know its not the accurate watch but its a nice 'good enough' until I maybe come across the real deal. Its a waltham 17 jewel shock resistant. The band appears to be the same. I picked it off ebay for 20 buckaroos. I have some more goodies coming in soon such as ID badge, gloves, and messermeister roll. Tundra pants are next, Then its tool time!

I wish I had the real band but I will be posting my walltham that I had replated from gold. It should be in by next week and I heard it came out perfect. I saw your watch on eBay, almost bought it for the band but decided not to, had a $10 gift card Kohls sent me in the mail and found a band very very similar for 10.95 so I only had to pay a buck lol
