With that update, Its the most activity ive seen in my discord chat ever
No offense Danny, and I hope you don’t misunderstand my intention here….but I tagged the two owners of the run because I’d like to hear from them not you. I’m sure you’re trying to help, but in this case it’s inappropriate and quite inadequate. And truly not wanting to upset you here, but honestly not sure what your Patreon or any of that self promotion and “activity report” for your Discord has to do with my outreach to Dewy or Anakin Starkiller. I hope you can understand my confusion why you felt that comment pertinent.
I can see you’ve made some claims in the chat before about what you’ve seen privately and other stuff, but that just adds a little to the frustration of why we aren’t seeing that or getting that info: we are the ones buying the sabers. And, as you aren’t making these lightsabers, and neither of them asked us to tune in to your responses or private chats for info and answers, I’d really prefer and appreciate if you’d let them speak for the run.
Sorry if that’s offensive to you, but professionally that’s how this should be, always. We all know you’re close to Daniel but we have to hear these things from him, especially when someone directly asks him. And regardless of how close you may be to Daniel it doesn’t help these situations unless Dewy or Daniel specifically say “hey Danny is our spokesperson” which to date I’ve never seen.
So thanks again for trying to help, I do know your heart is probably in the right place, but I’d def like to hear from them.

Some of the sabers arrived yesterday at my parents' home in NJ. They were a week early, which normally wouldn't be a problem, but I was up in Quebec and my folks were out of town. So I drove 8 hours to CT, dropped off my wife and son there. Then I drove another 5 hours in NJ to find the boxes left in the driveway by FedEx. I've had a look at some of the sabers that arrived and shared some phone photos with friends (don't want to publicly post poor quality photos and give people a poor impression of what has been produced), and I didn't want to post a full update yet because until the whole lot arrives (hopefully this week) I won't know what I have.
There is a whole lot that goes into the production of a run like this that nobody knows about. PadawanLoLo, I'm sorry to hear that you find the work I've done on this run to be "quite inadequate."
But good news! I haven't asked for a dime from anyone yet. So, none of your time or money is in jeopardy; it's just mine!

I actually have, on many occasions, publicly said that Halliwax's channel and Patreon page are great resources for information and updates about my projects. This still stands
This is awesome to hear Daniel, and appreciate the update.
I never commented about your work, “I’m sure you’re trying to help, but in this case it’s inappropriate and quite inadequate.” as said directly to Danny about responding in place of you (direct ping), and it is quite inadequate because only words from the run makers matter. I hope you can revisit that and see those word differently in context. Thanks for hearing me on that.
Also If privately sharing the photos, of course that’s your call and fully understandable….but hearing publicly about them begs a bit of the question, surely no? Thats kinda why I asked for the update from one of you two.
Anyway I can’t wait to see the sabers and thankful for all the work you and Dewy have put in. You two have a good track record for these run and I wouldn’t have signed up otherwise mate. Sorry if that work has taken you from family time and hope you can get back to that soon. Always more important.

Sure that’s ok for “tuning in” for info. But, answering directly for you when a question is asked feels quite different from voluntarily paying a subscription or registering to a private server to get info on the run.

What does this have to do with asking a question directly to someone and wanting an answer from them not someone else? They could take as long as they want to respond, or not respond, and I’m fine with that. And it was a kind and polite request. Nothing hasty.The way I see it, Starkiller and Dewy don't need to update us constantly about the project, all we did was sign up for a list and none of us gave them anything up front.
Just have a little patience, we will soon have our Qui-Gon saber
Also think asking for an update 3 weeks after the last, and waiting for a response is being patient

The 100 some other people signed on this run are probably just as excited to get news about it, and if you’ve ever been a customer of Dan, you’ll know the best news of all is getting that private message that says, ‘its ready, its your turn. Feel free to pay now’ out of the blue.
Most makers appreciate having the opportunity to post their updates as they are able, but its nice when their best friend is able to shoulder that burden too. Its not worth being upset over. Thanks for keeping the faith alive Halliwax.

My question stands on its own mate. No one cares about 3 weeks, that’s just the factual timing. It was a simple well timed and polite question. There is no harm in posting and asking for those making this run to comment. Also perfectly fine for me to state my displeasure with a 3rd-party response, and to express I feel it’s not appropriate IMO for others to answer for them, (for my personal question). You’re a member of Danny’s stuff, cool, but for me it’s especially not ok to take my question and use it to self-promote or tease their private sourcing of information. It comes off as an infomercial and makes you wonder why everyone isn’t getting that info. Dan said X is a good source for info….and that’s great for those willing, but I didn’t go to that source and instead came here to THE source and pinged the sources directly. That’s my choice. And I’m fully capable of reading Danny’s wicked posts, but I don’t accept that and that’s my prerogative.
Just read the words on the page and not more. And if it’s wrong being asked a direct question, politely and sans haste, then a public run on this forum is probably not the right space, because this is where questions can be asked. Pretty simple really.

Wonder, is it noteworthy that questions on the many other runs here on the RPF aren’t met with this circus and hostility?
If anyone else would like to comment on my post, please message me directly and stop side-tracking this thread. This should be about the awesome run Dewy and Daniel have put together. Not your personal protection of friends nor attacking me for asking a question.

Honestly, these last several months have been so expensive for me I'm perfectly okay with this project taking as long as it needs to!
