Having the choice is great in my opinion, I love to have all the possible variations on things, I've made bundles of them all so far  :lol

I think different worlds within the alliance would have slightly different bills,
not to mention whatever might be available on the frontier.

EXACTLY.

Currency design revisions happen on a fairly frequent basis. My 20 might be the old one & dr_slurpee's the new, or vice versa.

I'm printing out some of all of them & mixing them together in the stack. :D

i also like having options also this is so great, are the new updated bills available for download anywhere?

Keep in mind that this is Alliance currency though, and not money specific to a world. All of the worlds within the Alliance use the same system.

I believe it was something like core worlds use Alliance credits/cash, and border worlds use platinum.

Alliance cash is supposed to be worth MORE than Platinum too.

Has anyone done faded bills yet BTW? Thats a variation I would really want to see.

Hopefully I can bother lgtsbr again to host my finalFINALFINAL revisions this evening. I believe he has graciously offered to host dr_slurpee's as well.

I just took some of my currency, & one at a time, crumpled one up, then flattened it, re-crumpled, re-flattened, re-crump, re-flat, re-cr, re-fl, and they faded real nice. Some of them even have that nice tissue-papery feel to them, like a really heavily circulated bill.

Dong ma? ;)

LOLZ.

Aye, they faded quite a bit. If I get a chance this evening I'll see if I can post a pic of a pristine bill next to a weathered one.

I've found that if I print using the default settings on my printer rather than goosing up to maximum quality and all that, the colors come out "faded" just about right.

Been watching with great admiration. Nice work all.

Has anyone tried printing these onto vellum? I know mylar was mentioned, and I'm an engineer, so I have some experience with both media types. Seems like vellum would have the "translucent" properties of mylar, but wouldn't crease badly like mylar will if folded....

Might be worth a try.

Great job dr slurpee and Nexus. I have to pick up some more ink for my printer now. :D

Now if we can only find someone to mint some coins. ;)

I just finished my 50. I'll be sending the file for hosting, as long as our friend Angelus is willing to host more. :)

Also I made some revisions to my 1000, mainly added some more contrast to the planet and fixed a couple small details that were bugging me, I'll also send the revised file for hosting.

Thanks, I am glad you like it. I am thinking a 10 and a 5, though it'll depend on time and if I can find good planets and colour combinations for them. I might use some of the suggested ones from people here though. :)

Here is my version of the 1K note. I'll try to get the hi-rez version out to my gracious benefactor later this evening:
