dude is on fire lately, I hope he calms down after the academy awards

So the 1306 arrived, lens is correct I am happy to report. Wife remarked "I kinda like them", unprompted, which is a pretty top tier indicator from her.

You are quite welcome, my friend! Been a good run of finds lately, especially the ones with plenty of pairs in stock. Those 1306 were on my "May actually pay retail" list, as I think they are one of the coolest of the C&G frames. Absolute must buy the way they were priced! It is simply crazy how much C&G overstock is on the web right now.

I got the Rayban 2041 wayfarer with the classic orange lenses.

They're pretty cool, I like them.

Thanks again to UV400 for pointing me in the right direction. Let's hope he never decides to keep these nuggets of info like the exact model, or where to locate them to himself as I think the majority of us would be well and truly screwed.

Thanks again my friend!

I agree with that statement

when beckham eyewear started you could find frames around 100€, to me it was fair. you definitely pay for the name, not for the quality, but they weren’t terrible compared to mass market glasses like rayban or whatever, it’s safilo that makes them anyway. in the last two years they raised the prices to something around 200€, and I think it’s way too much. luckily it’s pretty easy to find them half price around the internet

I ordered some replica Saint Laurent SL 572 001 in black and crystal (from p.354) and dropped in some custom very light peach/amber lenses (50□22 145)...

The replicas came with branded case, cloth and soft drawstring storage bag...

They'll suffice until a bargain pair of SL 572 find their way to me!!

I just order ordered a pair from Ali myself, and the Dita Thavos! What percentage tint did you use for the SL572? 25%?

Unfortunately, I don't go off tint percentage, as my lenses are just DIY, so it's a lot less technical than that!!
I just stock up on loads of cheap donors and go in my lenses box to find the nearest looking tint and that's as scientific as it gets!!

I find a selection of lenses with the closest looking tint, lie them all out on white paper and then pick the best pair to use. The mathematics are replaced by an ocular best guess..Lol

I will say that although it was a while ago now (and can't be 100% sure on this), but the donors I used don't look too far off from the very light peach that I used on my Paul Smith Waltons from p.255...

If I was to hazard a guess, I would say a lot less than 25% on the SL572, especially when you look at this pic...

Hope this helps :)
