California Comic Conventions! 2014!

No one here knows me because I'm new, but we go to SDCC, LBCC, Comikaze and Wondercon every year. Look for these two.

Re: California Conventions! 2014! (SacCC and Comikaze)

Thia will be my first year doing any kind of cosplay.
This is my first year as well, so I'm trying to make it a good one :D

Though I can't say I don't know what it feels like, I was the mascot for my school for five years in college. I'm very used to it.

Awesome!
The only one of those I'm confirmed for is Long Beach Comic Con so far.
I'm doing my best to get entry to the others though!

We'll get a nice Marvel picture together :D

Here is one of the Marvel group photos from Comikaze last year:

Is that a Future Foundation Spider-Man?!! Ohhh myyyy...... looks so cool!

I think there'll be a nice collection of spidey suits in all the conventions this year. I'm just hoping my suit will be good enough to look good alongside em haha

I will most certainly be at Comikaze, LBCC, and WonderCon. Wizard World Sacramento is on the maybe list if I'm up there for work that week. I won't have a costume, but I'll be in my RPF shirt (and soon to be delivered hat).

If I can get tickets for SDCC I'll be there too.

Although, even if I don't get tickets, I hear it's worth a trip down just to hang out with people counter picketing the idiots that think we're all going to hell for wearing costumes, reading comic books and listening to that rock-and-roll music...

GOT MY TICKET TO WONDERCON!!!! SO friggin excited.
Spider-Man is gong to WonderCon!
I am only able to go on Saturday though. Who will I be seeing?

Here is my updated list:

Confirmed List of Conventions (Paid For Tickets)

1. Sacramento Comic Con - March 7-9 , Sacramento, California
2. Kraken Con, April 6th - Oakland, California
3. BigWow Comic Fest - May 17th - San Jose, California
4. Long Beach Comic Con - May 31 - June 1, Long Beach, California
5.
WonderCon - Saturday, April 19th, Anaheim, California (wanted to do 3-day, but couldn't due to work )

Pending List of Conventions (Tickets Not Yet Available)

2. Comikaze - November 1-3, Los Angeles, California
3. San Diego Comic Con (if only)

I've secured (read paid for) all the days at Wondercon and LBCC in May for sure. Look for the only Cerberus Trooper in the building on Saturday. That'll be me. ;)

I'll be at the LBCHC in September as well and Comikaze as soon as those tickets go on sale.

Wizard World Sac is probably out depending on my work schedule that weekend. I'm supposed to be up in Oregon the week before, but I may have to go to Dallas the week following. If the Dallas job gets cancelled, I'll be there on Saturday assuming tickets can still be bought at the door.

When it gets closer to the event days I'll send out some pm's and try to get everyone together for some RPF pictures.
Everyone knows where the QUALITY replicas come from ;)

Thanks for that heads up man!

no problem

I've received 6 PMs and seen 8 more (different) people on various threads say they are going to at least attend WonderCon for the Saturday event. (though a couple are going to the Friday only)

I'm very excited to see so many RPF members coming to WonderCon. Closer to the actual event date I will be sending out some pm's about an RPF picture on Saturday before (maybe after) the Masquerade show. Maybe we can all grab some drinks and recreate the superhero cafe from HISHE hahaha

Cheers everyone, I'm glad we were all able to grab the passes to WonderCon; I know a few of us (including me) were apprehensive on snatching a couple up due to it's affiliation with the ever elusive San Diego Comic con.

Well I am going to San Diego Comic Fest Which is a VERY small comic book convention but really fun

Update: One of the Comikaze producers contacted me saying that tickets for Comikaze Expo go on sale on June 4th this year, and that they are considering opening up a discounted Early Bird pricing one-two weeks before. She says she'll update me closer to the sale date.

I'll update this thread with any solid details I get.

I don't think Comikaze tickets have ever sold out. It's a great con, growing each year but it doesn't get the attention that SDCC does. I was really impressed with it this year.

I was as well, seems like another great smaller con like Wondercon. The nice thing is that it is such a less drive compared to Wondercon. Also parking seems to be not only a lot easier, but a lot closer to the convention center itself!!!

I was also really impressed at how many people were taking pictures of you and your darn shoes Brad. Like they were Britney Spears or something, you'd walk 5 feet and someone would ask you for a pic of your shoes.
