1:1 Narin Bio Sculpt (Updated 8/13/13)

This does look better with a little texture.  You've done a great job capturing Narin's idea in full scale.  I'll bet he's loving seeing this happen.  I've been meaning to ask what kind of clay you're sculpting with?  Keep the updates rollin'.

Holy HADES man!!! What a very, VERY beautiful piece. Love it.

You have went and took something of small scale and made it into a thing of wearable awesomeness. Look killer! Excellent work. Not enough praise can be given.

Thank you very much man. It was an honor to be given the chance to sculpt this. I can't think Narin enough

Don't worry too much about the time the first coat takes to cure. In thinner applications like this it will take longer if it cures at all (may remain tacky). Subsequent thin layers will set it. You just don't want to disturb the first coat as much as possible. Looking fabulous so far. Keep up the good work! You have nailed this thing so far.

Steve

Haven't posted pics if every later but this is after the 5th layer that has been thickened quite a bit!

Will have the final layer done tonight and pics to follow

Looks like you have done a good job filling in the undercuts. You shouldn't have any trouble with the mother mold coming right off. This is gonna' turn out sweet for sure. Are you getting a better feel for how the silicone behaves? It took me awhile to get used to it. Looks like you are doing great!

Steve

Getting a much better feel for its behavior and at the point now where I feel more comfortable with it! Tough stuff at first but it gets easier after the first few layers. I added the sixth coat last night and will be adding a bit more under the laser shroud area ten one final smooth coat tonight! Should have the mother mold started Thursday!
