I printed one out and retraced everything over in pencil to give as a gift to a friend who's a fellow Indy fan. Gave him the movie with the map and the Mutt pic altogether. As we watched it again he noticed the pieces I gave him and it made his gift that much more special and will be getting a frame to park next to his Golden idol.

Anyone have the movie: Explorers (1985) with Ethan Hawke and River Phoenix?

I remember they show a blueprint of their scratch built spaceship in full view for a few seconds. Anyone got the dvd an can take some screen caps?

You don't happen to have a picture of the news paper that the helicopter Pilot reads about the ufo/swampgas?
I saw a clip of it on youtube and spotted the name Kingston Falls and recognized it from Gremlins (towns name) I was wondering if it said anything more about it. easteregg or such.
The director/writer made both gremlins and explorers.

can anyone make me the notice from Empire of the sun?

i am talking about the note/poster that says "this is now property of the japanese emperor" in caligraph and in english at the bottom?

sorry i dont have screencaps i have looked all over but i cant find them, i dont have the dvd.

Which BTTF paper are the same? I have looked at the 2015 newspaper and that dont seem to match.?

It's the text that is written in the articles that are the same. Not the article titles or headlines.

As this is a "paper prop" thread I assumed giben was referring to something having to do with a paper prop (but I guess I could be wrong ).

Anyway, I'm not sure what paper props of significance were in the movie, so I would be interested to hear what giben has in mind.

there wasnt alot of paper ones but there was some rather corny pictures like the eifel tower blown up and also there was a cool looking aereal photo showing the tripods (ok they wernt really tripods but they should of been) landing paterns.
that film to me has started a new craze for me,
area 51 stuff with the discovery of the staff of moses in the indy jones area 51 scene it has given me the idea of making a set of props from old films like war of the worlds and crating them like what the crew did with the staff of moses from charleston hestons film the ten commandments.

so the landing pattern photo would be good i am planning on making the camera/eye thing but that is another post.

i have only seen the film once and i was trying to make sense of the plot let alone the props.

This was as good as i could get. It looks like a montage of a real photo that have been altered to look wartorn. Search for vintage aereal pictures of paris.

now i can get to work the landing pattern picture seems to be rather odd and something used for another purpose i cant seem to make out the landing patterns so this could be some sort of military declassified item from the 50s.
