Firefly/Serenity

Here's one of the bottle labels I did for STAND. It's meant for a one liter, cobalt blue, flip-top bottle.

You're welcome. It's a shout out to all of the Canadians that worked on Firefly and STAND.

Now...a paper prop of another ilk. Cardboard.

One of my favorite, centerpiece project builds for STAND was the Big Buddha. I tried to take as many 'how to' style pictures of the progress as I could, and if stamps go up again at the post office next year, you can see why…

Thank you so much for the compliments.

The Verse In Numbers has been updated to version 2.01. There were some small additions and corrections from the last version.

We're already working on another update, so we're naming asteroids in the HALO belt around WHITE SUN. Anyone wishing to name an asteroid should drop the names here. Please see the VIN for examples and the region names in HALO where you'd like the asteroids placed.

EDIT: And if you name an Asteroid, please let us know under what name you'd like to be credited under.

Yellowjacket,

You are my hero. Every piece you have done has made me stare in awe at your graphic design. I cannot thank you enough.

Do you have any special stocks you prefer for your credit/currency runs as opposed to your ship papers runs?

Keep up the fantastic work!

For currency I lean towards Southworth linen paper.

I've used a standard copy weight paper for the ships papers.

There is still room for a good hundred names for anyone wishing to contribute.

For anyone still interested in making Firefly currency on the metallic flecked vellum:

I was informed at my local art shack that it may be completely discontinued by the manufacturer. If you are like me and want some before it is completely gone and don't have the funds to order it by the sheet from England, I found an alternate supplier, local to the States.

Go to ThePaperMillStore.com and search for "Confetti"; The following is the actual name listing: WorldWin Paper Metallic Vellums Confetti Paper - 8 1/2 x 11 in 24 lb Bond Metallic 50 per Package

I ordered some and it looks fantastic. Go a tad easy on the ink saturation (fast draft at first to test your individual printer) and allow a lot more time to dry and cure than you normally would. I end up with smudges sometimes when using vellum.

Any suggestions for a good inkjet curing aid that won't crack or flake off if I fold the vellum?

I'm slowly returning to the long list of promised documents.

This first document is a Freight Masters license for freelance crews who want to carry product for the Northern Lights Trading Company. The license guarantees them certain rights and freedoms as a shipper without being a full time employee of NLTC. And...it gave me a great excuse to do a whole mess of Celtic border designs.

To make this particular document, I first had to design a very corporate, stylized logo for 'Northern Lights'.
