I have only seen gold wire in the pic on the first page. Never seen gold wire in the movie or other pictures of the hook, so I guess silver would be the way to go, even if it was possible to use gold color on the top piece...

Yeah, it's hard to tell. There are a couple versions of the prop including the "non copyright" version by Tony Swatton. Some seem to have gold trim, others don't. Regardless, I am quite impressed with Sarednab's version, it's a beautiful piece. i just want some more pics!!!

Don't worry Vince! I'll show you all pics as soon as I'll be 100% satisfed with prototype. There are still a few thing that I must adjust before be completly satisfed, including upper engreved part (the plate where hook itself is placed), close/open system. I could relase it like you seen in pics. Yes, a very nice prop but... NOT perfect! I'll try all my best to do it PERFECT before relase it. I don't care if this will require more time, we wait 2 years, some weeks of late couldn't be the problem.
