I have no evidence to back up my claim, but I believe they were filled in and then cut for the y-wing, then cast to use for the Falcon.

No Tamiya 1/25 Chieftains are required for the Falcon. The 1/35 is needed though. The Tamiya 1/25 Centurion is a major donor & earlier...
